On Saturday, November 28th, a special alumni event centred around the theme of ‘Preserving our humanity: the role of emotions in politics and governance’ is scheduled for the Political Science and Public Administration programmes.
We offer a varied programme and ample opportunity to reconnect with professionals and former fellow students. It would be great if you could be there!
John Hogan will discuss the role that stories (and, to a certain extent, emotions) play in shaping our political imagination, as well as the risks associated with transferring that narrative power to AI: “Losing the Plot: Cognitive Surrender in the Age of AI”. Dovilè Rimkute will speak about the role of emotion in regulator-citizen interactions. We invite you to reflect together on the use of AI. In the closing panel discussion, John, Dovilè, and the audience will engage in conversation with Ailex: the husband of artist Alicia Framis, the first woman to be married to an AI hologram.
Finally, while enjoying some snacks and drinks, there will be an opportunity to network and catch up with former classmates. For more information click here.
